Srinagar, June 22 (Reporter) Security forces foiled an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, official sources said Saturday. The bid was foiled in the Gohalan Uri sector of Baramulla in the wee hours when the Army deployed along the Line of Control noticed suspected movement of infiltrators. “The infiltrators were challenged and they opened fire which was retaliated, triggering an encounter,” sources said. “The operation is still underway."
