Srinagar, Sep 26 (Reporter) J&K Congress President Tariq Karra on Thursday said that north Kashmir- that is going to polls in the last phase of assembly election- was being made the “epicenter of experiments by the BJP” government and urged wise voting.
Karra said this while addressing a meeting of party workers in Baramulla.
"The people of Baramulla need to be more intelligent and vote wisely, as North Kashmir is being made the epicenter of experiments by the BJP government," Karra stated.
Karra highlighted the significant responsibility that lies with the people of North Kashmir, citing the strong reply given to the BJP's policies in the first and second phases of elections.
"Now it's time for the people of North Kashmir to stand united against divisive forces and false claims of development by the current government," he urged.
He reminded the gathering that this election will determine the course of the next 100 years and that the people of entire J&K are looking to North Kashmir to secure their future.
Karra further noted that the BJP has understood that fighting directly in Kashmir will not gain them anything, as evident from their experiments in the District Development Council (DDC, Block Development Council, and Lok Sabha elections.
"The picture is very clear in front of you. People from entire J&K have made up their minds to vote for alliance candidates wisely, keeping an eye on the future of J&K ," he said.
He emphasized that the people of North Kashmir have a crucial role to play in securing the future of J&K.
"Now it's you, the people of North Kashmir, who have to play the role of big brother and put the stamp on the mandate of Phase 1 and Phase 2, where people have opted for alliance over divisive politics," he said.
In the third and final phase of polls, 40 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir will go to the polls on October 1. These 40 assembly constituencies are spread in the districts of Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora- in Kashmir; and in Jammu region’s Udhampur, Kathua, Samba and Jammu ...////...
