Jammu, Sep 29 (Reporter) Two days before voting for the last phase of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, a bootlegger was arrested on Sunday and 1,600 illegal liquor bottles were recovered in Udhampur district, police said.
A team of Police Station Ramnagar in collaboration with Flying Squad Team while performing picket checking near Ghas Mandi intercepted one autorickshaw, police said.
On checking of the vehicle, huge quantity of illicit liquor 33 boxes (1,630 bottles of 180 ml each) were recovered and driver Gorkhu Ram, resident of Kanah, Tehsil Ramanagar, has been arrested, police said.
District Police Udhampur have registered 37 cases in which 640 litres of illicit liquor have been recovered during this assembly elections...////...
