Mumbai Feb 28 (Reporter) Veteran script writer Javed Akhtar and actor-turned-BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut, on Friday reached a settlement before a local court in Mumbai in the defamation cases they filed against each other. The magistrate court disposed of the two cases they filed against each other in 2020. Accompanied by their lawyers, Akhtar and Ranaut appeared before the local court and submitted their consent to settle the cases, upon which the court agreed and dismissed their pleas. After the settlement, the actress took to her Instagram, shared a photo with him, and wrote, "Today Javed Ji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through mediation. Javed Ji has been very kind and gracious; he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial".
