Tokyo, May 14 (Reporter) A Japan Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) training jet reportedly disappeared from radar while flying near Inuyama City in Aichi Prefecture on Wednesday, local media cited multiple sources within the Ministry of Defence as saying. Local fire departments reported receiving emergency calls shortly after 3 p.m. local time, stating that an aircraft-like object had crashed into a pond in the area, according to national broadcaster NHK.
