Jammu: GRP recover drugs valued at Rs 40 lakh

Jammu, Sep 21 (Reporter) The Jammu GRP has recovered Rs 40 lakh worth of drugs from the Jammu Tawi Railway Station on Saturday. Police said that 80 grammes of heroin have been seized, which is worth Rs 25 lakh in the market price and more than Rs 40 lakh in the retail market. Accordingly, a case under the relevant section has been registered and an investigation initiated. A thorough investigation will be conducted to dig out the backward linkages of the source of the banned drug, said police. They stated that this is the seventh case of seizure of banned drugs made by GRP Jammu in the last two months, and the market price of seized banned drugs is worth Rs 96 lakh...////...
