J J Hospital MBBS student commits suicide

Mumbai, June 10 (Reporter) A 22-year-old third-year MBBS student from government-run Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Hospital committed suicide, police said on Tuesday, adding primary investigations suggested that he was under depression. According to police, Rohan Ramfer Prajapati allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan of his hostel room in the Sir JJ Hospital premises on Sunday night, and the incident came to the fore when his roommate, Ritesh Vishwakarma, came to the hostel room around 10.50pm the same day. Prajapati was rushed to the hospital’s emergency section, but was declared dead. While talking to UNI, an official of JJ Marg police station said that the body of Parjapati was handed over to his parents and the investigation was going on.
