Jerusalem, Sep 2 (Reporter) The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said Monday it had carried out airstrikes on military sites belonging to the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. "Overnight, the IAF [Israeli air force] struck Hezbollah military structures in the areas of Yaroun, Ayta ash Shab, Hanine, Tayr Harfa and Blida in southern Lebanon," the IDF said on Telegram. Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border have escalated since Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip began in October 2023.
