IP University begins admission process for international students

New Delhi, Apr 12 (Reporter) Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on Friday initiated the admission process for the international students. The first preference for admission will be given to the candidates applying through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) fellowship. The remaining seats will be filled through other international candidates on merit based on qualifying exams for the purpose, an official release said. BAMS, BHMS, B. Sc ( Yoga) and M.Sc ( Yoga) programmes are available only for ICCR sponsored candidates, it added. English proficiency test scores of TOFEL or IELTS is required to apply through this route, however, applicants of Nepal and Tibet are exempted from this compulsion. In case of candidate applying through ICCR scholarship, the English proficiency score awarded and reported by the council will be considered as equivalent to IELTS score. The application form for the admission can be downloaded from the link of the University website https://www.ipu.ac.in/intaff.php, the release said. The application form, complete in all respects, should be sent to Room No – 306, D block, Directorate of International Affairs, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector – 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi – 78(India), it added. The soft copy of the application form should be forwarded on the e – mail ID [email protected]. The admission brochure for International Students for the academic session 2024 – 25 was released by the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Mahesh Verma at a function organized at Dwarka campus here today. Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor announced that the University is planning to allot a separate hostel for the international students in East campus of the University from the academic year 2024–25. Like last year, this year too, 25% seats will be allowed to be filled on supernumerary basis in different programmes of the University, the release said.
