Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that real estate is currently the most progressive sector in the country and is playing a crucial role in the reconstruction of India. The development of real estate directly contributes to the nation’s overall progress. To promote this sector and ensure housing for all, growth conclaves will be organised in all major cities of the state.
CM Dr. Yadav stated, addressing the Madhya Pradesh Growth Conclave 2025 at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore on Friday, that real estate now contributes 8.5% to the national GDP, a significant increase from the earlier 3%. He announced the development of 10 new smart cities in Madhya Pradesh modeled after Gujarat’s GIFT City and the construction of 10 lakh new houses in the state. Specialised growth conclaves will also be organised for different sectors to accelerate industrial development in the state.
The conclave received investment proposals worth over Rs. 30,000 crore in sectors such as industry, hospitality, real estate, education, renewable energy and IT. These investments are expected to generate more than 15,000 new job opportunities. The Chief Minister also inaugurated and dedicated development works worth Rs. 12,360 crore for the state, including Bhoomi-Pujan for water supply, sewerage, sanitation and infrastructure projects worth Rs. 5,454 crore. Under the PM Awas Yojana (Urban), grants totaling Rs. 2,799 crore were distributed to over 65,000 beneficiaries.
CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that projects like solar energy, greenfield highways, townships and smart cities will be actively promoted in the coming years.
