Indonesian Defence min leads presidential poll with 58.4 pc votes

Jakarta, Feb 19 (Reporter) Indonesian Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto is leading the country's presidential election with 58.4pc of the vote, with more than 70pc of polling stations processed, according to data released by the Indonesian election commission on Monday. Last Wednesday, Subianto declared himself the winner of the presidential election, but the results are still changing as the counting continues. He was earlier reported to be leading the race with 56pc of the vote, with data from 45pc of precincts processed. According to the latest data from the election commission, 24.3pc of Indonesian voters chose former Indonesian Minister of Culture and Education Anies Baswedan, while another 17.3pc voted for the ex-governor of Central Java Province, Ganjar Pranowo.
