Chicago/New Delhi, Nov 30 (Reporter) A 27-year-old Indian student from Khammam, Telangana, was shot dead at a petrol station in Chicago early on Saturday. The Indian Consulate has expressed shock at the murder of Indian student Nukarapu Sai Teja and demanded immediate action against the culprits. In a post on X, the Indian consulate said they will extend every help to the family and friends of the victim. “We are shocked and deeply sad at the murder of Indian Student Nukarapu Sai Teja. We demand immediate action against the culprits. Consulate will extend all possible help to the family and friends of the victim.” According to reports, Nukarapu Sai Teja was a native of Ramanagutta village in Khammam rural mandal, and had travelled to the US four months ago to pursue an M.S. degree. Sai Teja worked part-time at the petrol station. He was not on duty when he was killed but was helping a friend who had asked him to stay.
