Indian Embassy in Bahrain repatriates 28 Indian fishermen

New Delhi, Dec 18 (Reporter) The Indian Embassy in Bahrain today said that 28 Indian fishermen who were recently freed from detention are being repatriated, with the Indian Embassy facilitating their legal assistance and travel to India. In a post on X, the Indian Embassy said: “@indiainbahrain is pleased to announce repatriation of 28 Indian fishermen who were recently freed after reduction in sentence from 6 to 3 months. Embassy facilitated legal assistance & travel under GoI’s Indian Community Welfare Fund.
