India, UK sign Free Trade Agreement (FTA)

New Delhi/London, July 24 (Reporter) India and the UK today signed the crucial Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that will be a major boost to the economies of both countries. The crucial Agreement was signed in London by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and his British counterpart Jonathan Reynolds in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a two-day visit to the UK, and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar was also present at the signing ceremony. Before signing the Agreement, the British government said it would significantly improve market access and boost bilateral trade by around 34 billion US Dollars annually.
