New Delhi, Nov 26 (Reporter) India and Cyprus held the 6th round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) today in Nicosia, during which both sides discussed avenues to deepen the bilateral relationship in areas such as renewable energy, fintech, start-ups, and technology.
The Indian side was led by Arun Kumar Sahu, Additional Secretary (Central Europe), Ministry of External Affairs and Thessalia Salina Shambos, Political Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Cyprus.
During the consultations, both sides reviewed the entire gamut of the India-Cyprus bilateral relations, including high-level exchanges, trade, investment, research and innovation, digitalization, connectivity, education, culture, and people-to-people ties, a statement said.
Both sides also explored avenues to deepen the bilateral relationship in areas such as renewable energy, fintech, start-ups, and technology. They exchanged perspectives on important regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Additional Secretary (Central Europe) also called on Ambassador Andreas S. Kakouris, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus and Georgios Komodromos, Acting Permanent Secretary, Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of Republic of Cyprus.
The discussions held during the consultations will contribute towards further strengthening India-Cyprus bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to hold the next round of FOC in New Delhi on mutually convenient dates, the statement said...////...
