India won’t stay silent on Pak proxy war: Surya

Panama, May 28 (Reporter) India today sent a strong and unequivocal message to the world that it stands united on matters of national security and will no longer tolerate aggression or attempts to destabilise the nation, said Tejasvi Surya, BJP MP from Karnataka. Addressing a delegation comprising representatives from diverse states and political parties, Surya emphasised that despite India's rich diversity in languages, religions, and cultures, the country speaks with one voice when it comes to safeguarding its sovereignty. "This is the foremost message India wants to convey internationally — on national security, we are united and resolute," Surya said. The all-party delegation led by Shashi Tharoor has arrived in Panama City for a three-day official visit, following the conclusion of their trip to Guyana. During their stay, the MPs will engage with Panamanian leadership as well as key representatives from the media, strategic sectors, the Indian community and diaspora, and friends of India in Panama, according to a statement issued by the Indian Embassy in Panama. Surya stressed that India's primary mission remains to achieve collective, inclusive prosperity and improve the living standards of its people while rapidly emerging as the world's third largest economy. However, Pakistan continues to pose a persistent threat through its policy of proxy warfare aimed at distracting and destabilising India. "For over 70 years, Pakistan has pursued a strategy of ‘bleeding India by a thousand cuts,’ seeking to hinder our growth and progress," Surya said. Despite these challenges, India has emerged as the world’s fourth largest economy and is firmly on the path of rapid development. The BJP leader reiterated that India will not remain silent in the face of attacks. “The days of passivity are over. If provoked, India will respond decisively, including through operations beyond our borders if necessary, to protect our national interests,” he declared.
