Chennai, Sep 19 (Reporter) India overcame a top order collapse and reached 88 for three in 23 overs
at lunch on the opening day of the first test against Bangladesh at the M A CHidambaram stadium here on Thursday.
Asked to bat first, India lost the top three batsmen, before the two left handers opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (37 not out) and wicket-keeper Rishab Pant (33 not out) rescued the innings.
The duo have so far added 54 for the unbroken fourth wicket in 23.4 overs when the players adjourned for lunch.n

in seven overs.

Rohit Sharma (six) edged to second slip of Hasan to a delivery that seamed away, and Shubman Gill (0) edged to Litton Das behind the wicket down the leg side and Virat Kohli (6) too fell, edging to the keeper driving a delivery which was not close enough.
India were wobbling at 34 for three in 9.2 overs, with the Bangladesh pacer, especially Hasan threatened to run away with the Indian batters.
However, Jaiswal and Rishab Pant mixed caution with aggression and steadied the ship with some fine batting display. Jaiswal has so far struck six fours in his nicely crafted 68 ball knock, while Pant, who in his usually aggressive fashion, have so far scored five fours in his 46 ball unbeaten knock...////...
