Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of promptly informing the police in cases of digital arrest or other cyber crimes. He stated that awareness, courage in facing cyber fraudsters, and swift police action are essential to prevent these crimes. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is also making efforts to raise awareness on this issue. In his recent Mann Ki Baat program, the Prime Minister advised against fear of digital arrest, urging people to pause, think, and take action for protection. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav shared these insights with the media during a visit to the State Cyber Police Headquarters. Notably, on November 9, the Cyber Police acted immediately in the case of a digital arrest involving a resident of Arera Colony, Bhopal, conducting a live raid to rescue the individual and prevent cyber fraud amounting to crores of rupees. Dr. Yadav visited the headquarters to commend the state’s Cyber Police. This case is likely one of the first live raids in response to a digital arrest in both the country and the world.
