IDA Kashmir conducts dental education programme in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 30 (Reporter) In an effort to enhance the knowledge and awareness surrounding evolving trends in dentistry, the Indian Dental Association (IDA), Kashmir Central Branch, organised a dental education programme here. The conference commenced on Monday with inaugural address by Ishtiyaq Geelani, President of the branch, and he set the tone for the event, emphasising the importance of ongoing education in the field of dentistry. A special themed edition of the oral health conversation newsletter was also released on the occasion. The conference attracted a diverse audience, including both seasoned professionals and emerging talents from across Kashmir, a statement by the organisers said. The engagement was structured into two technical sessions, each addressing crucial aspects of dental practice and education. The first session featured Ijtiba Shafi, who delivered an insightful presentation focusing on the various guidelines issued by the government periodically. The second session commenced with Urnaib Riyaz, and she provided a meticulous overview of the evolution of dentistry over the past century. Jehanzaib Tenki was the chief guest on the occasion. The conference culminated with the chief guest expressing his gratitude for the insightful discussions and contributions from the participants. The closing ceremony was gracefully wrapped up with a vote of thanks presented by Adil Malik, the Branch Secretary of IDA.
