Ambala, Oct 9 (Reporter) Veteran Haryana BJP leader and former Home Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday that his prediction of majority for the party has come true as he was aware of the voters' pulse, despite contrary observations of exit polls and rival parties. "I know the pulse of the people, my assessments during elections in any state are always accurate. You can check my statements since the elections started, and I said that the BJP will form a government in Haryana for the third consecutive time without any coalition, while our senior leaders predicted 20, 25, or 30 seats. I maintained that our government would be formed," said Vij, a seven-time legislator. He recalled that on the counting day, when initial trends indicated that Congress would secure 70 seats and there were celebrations at Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's place, he stuck to his assessment that the BJP would form the government. Responding to a question about Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement that people voted against the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir and that the Haryana results were unexpected, he remarked, "Age has caught up with Kharge now, he should consider retirement." The vocal BJP leader said, "The public has rejected the Congress, and the people have delivered big blow to the state president." In response to questions about candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) not being able to secure their deposits, he said, "Over the past several months, I had said the AAP would not be able to secure its deposit. I have renamed the AAP as ‘Jamanat Jabt Party'." Regarding questions about the Jannayak Janta Party, (JJP) not opening its account in the Assembly seat tally, he said, "In elections, you reap what you sow; what you do is what you get." On this occasion, Vij, who has been pulled up on several occasions by party senior for his outspokenness, also hummed a song with his friends, "Sab Kuchh Seekha Hamane Na Seekhee Hoshiyaaree, Sach Hai Duniyaa Vaalon Ki Ham Hain Anaadee." Vij has never hidden is Chief Ministerial aspirations but has also maintained all along that he would follow the party decision. He also thanked his voters to reelecting him.
