Patna, Mar 4 (Reporter) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday thundered in the assembly that he had made Lalu Prasad, Chief Minister of Bihar in 1990 despite strong opposition from some leaders in RJD.
Kumar while replying to debate in assembly on thanks giving motion to Governor for his address to the joint sitting of both Houses of the state legislature, said that he had made Lalu Prasad Chief Minister of Bihar in 1990. In those days, some RJD leaders including those of his castes were strongly opposing the move to make him Chief Minister, he pointed out.
" Brushing aside all dissents and opposition, I had strongly supported Lalu in becoming Chief Minister of Bihar ", Chief Minister said adding that he had left RJD in 1994 following differences with him. The kind of governance provided by RJD was known to all, he remarked and asked Tejashwi Prasad Yadav to get information from elders about it.
Kumar had turned furious after Tejashwi tried to speak something during his reply and disputed the claim of good governance. What kind of lawlessness used to prevail during the RJD regime was not known to him as he was not born then, the Chief Minister told Tejashwi during his reply...////...
