Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, addressing the 63rd Home Guards Raising Day ceremony, said that in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna teaches the ideal of ‘Nishkam Seva’, performing one’s duty with complete honesty, without any expectation or selfish motive. He stated that Home Guard personnel embody this very spirit through their constant dedication, sincerity, and loyalty towards the nation and society.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the word ‘Home’ signifies family and ‘Guard’ means a sentinel who protects. He said, “You are the guardians of 8.5 crore people of Madhya Pradesh. In every crisis, natural disaster, crowd management, traffic duty, or any emergency, Home Guards stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the police and emerge as true heroes of society.”
