Bengaluru, April 22 (Reporter) Bengaluru police were on high alert on Monday after receiving a threatening letter claiming that explosives had been planted at a city restaurant.
The alarm was raised when officers received a letter from a postman around 12:30 pm, warning of a bomb at Hotel Kadamba. The sender not only threatened the establishment but also boasted about being behind a recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Rameshwaram Cafe.
Following the receipt of the letter, the bomb squad was deployed to Hotel Kadamba for a thorough search. Fortunately, their investigation revealed that the threat was a hoax, and no explosives were found on the premises.
The anonymous letter contained abusive language towards the police and the police department, claiming responsibility for the recent IED incident at Rameshwaram Cafe. Additionally, it warned of a bomb explosion at Hotel Kadamba scheduled for April 22.
Subsequent police investigations have identified the suspect as a resident of Mysuru, who has a history of making similar threats in the past. Authorities have shared this information with the Mysuru police for further investigation and action...////...
