Dharamshala, Dec 21 (Reporter) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu released an environment calendar displaying 50 activities to mark the Golden Jubilee Year of Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HPPCB) at Dharamshala in Kangra district here on Saturday.
He also released the Golden Jubilee logo on completion of 50 years of the Board. Congratulating the Board, the Chief Minister said that the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board has done a lot of commendable work during the last 50 years. He expressed hope that the Board's efforts to preserve the environment will continue successfully.
The environment calendar outlines 50 major activities to celebrate 50 environmentally important days between December 21, 2024, and December 21, 2025. The aim of these activities is to raise awareness among the people of the state and promote environmental protection.
The newly launched Golden Jubilee logo will be prominently displayed on all official correspondence of HPPCB. The regional offices and laboratories of the Board will undertake a cleanliness drive on December 21, 2024.
To commemorate the Golden Jubilee Year, a special program will be organised in the last fortnight of January 2025 or the first fortnight of February 2025. Retired employees of the Board will be honoured during the program.
