High voter turnout to work in BJP’s favour, claims Maha Dy CM

Mumbai, Nov 21 (Reporter) A day after exit polls predicted victory of BJP-led alliance in Maharashtra Assembly elections, Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday attributed high voter turnout on polling day on Wednesday to various development works and welfare schemes like 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' of the Mahayuti government and hinted that it is likely to work in BJP’s favour. Speaking to media at Nagpur airport, he said, "The increase in voting percentage could be attributed to a pro-incumbency factor and showed that “people have accepted and endorsed the present Mahayuti government.” He noted that whenever there is an increase in polling, it works to the advantage of the BJP and its alliance partners. "This is evident from our past experience," he said.
