Amaravati, Jan 8 (Reporter) Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Monday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the same period.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours.
Sunday’s trough at mean sea level from south Sri Lanka to west-central Bay of Bengal off the south Andhra Pradesh coast now runs from south Sri Lanka to north coastal Tamil Nadu and extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Rainfall occurred at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema.
The northeast monsoon has been weak over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and NORMAL over Rayalaseema.
