Sultanpur (UP), Feb 11 (Reporter) The argument in a defamation case against the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP from Rae Bareli Rahul Gandhi in the Special MP-MLA Court by the complainant concluded on Tuesday, prosecution sources said here. Prosecution sources said that now the court will hear the case on February 24, in which the witness will be cross-examined. It may be noted that Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vijay Mishra, a resident of Hanumanganj, had filed a defamation complaint against Rahul Gandhi in the MP-MLA court in 2018. He had alleged that during the Karnataka elections in 2018, the Congress leader made indecent remarks against the country's Home Minister Amit Shah. Prosecution sources said that when Rahul did not appear, the then-judge issued a warrant and summoned him in December 2023. "In February 2024, Gandhi surrendered in the court.
