Head-on collision kills 7 in Bolivia

La Paz, Jan 14 (Reporter) A head-on collision on Saturday left seven dead and three injured in western Bolivia, according to local media. The collision, involving two public transit vehicles -- a van and a bus, occurred near the town of Challapata in the western department of Oruro. Six of the fatalities were in the van, which veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with the bus heading from Tarija to La Paz. The seventh was a passenger on the bus. Images shared on social media and local television show the van was completely destroyed by the impact while the front of the bus was seriously damaged.
