Ambala, Sep 30 (Reporter) Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that people of Haryana have made up their minds to vote for the Congress as ‘they don’t want a government of Adani but of farmers’. Addressing a public meeting at the HUDA Ground in Naraingarh here, Gandhi said, “This is not Modiji's government, but Adani's government. We don't want 'Adani's government' in Haryana. Here we need a government of farmers, labourers and poor people.” “In the last ten years, the BJP government has given inflation, unemployment and schemes like Agnipath to our brave people of the state. The Congress, on the other hand, will give a government that will be for all and also protect your self respect,” Gandhi said. Talking about the three farm laws, the Raebareli MP said, “Modi government makes new laws and says that these laws have been made for farmers. If these laws were for the betterment of farmers then why did our farmers come out on streets in large numbers against it?" Accusing Prime Minister Modi of waiving off loans of some of his corporate friends, Rahul said that the farmers who have been working hard in the fields have only been cheated by the BJP government of Haryana. He said that his goal is fill the pocket of the people with that mush amount of money that has been given to Adani and Ambani by the Modi government. He said that when the Congress government comes to power, Rs 2000 each will be transferred to the accounts of women every month and gas cylinder will be provided at just Rs 500 and free electricity up to 300 units will also be available. He said that the government will also work for a 'drug-free Haryana' and provide two lakh permanent jobs to the youth. For the farmers, Gandhi said that the party promises legal guarantee of MSP and immediate crop compensation.
