Gurgaon, Nov 27 (Reporter) A court in Haryana on Wednesday sentenced a man to 20-year-imprisonment for raping a minor girl four years back. Additional District and Sessions Judge Ashwini Kumar convicted the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sentenced him to prison for 20 years, besides imposing a fine of Rs 40,000. If the fine is not paid, the accused will have to undergo additional imprisonment. According to the police, a complaint was received at Sadar police station in January, 2020 that a minor girl has been lured and raped. The police registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested Mamun Mian alias Munna, a native of West Bengal.
