Chandigarh, Oct 20 (Reporter) Former Haryana Minister Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav, who resigned from the Congress three days back, has announced that he was reversing his decision and would remain a Congressman till his last breath. Congress' OBC Morcha leader's son Chiranjeev was fielded by the party from Rewari in the recent state assembly elections, but lost. The Congress' hopes to return to power in the northern state after 10 long years were belied as the grand old party could win only 37 seats in the 90-member assembly. The BJP, which has been ruling since 2014, made a hat-trick of wins and bagged 48 seats. In a series of Saturday night tweets, Yadav said he had been upset that his hard work on the OBC front was not appreciated by the high command, He claimed some harsh words were also directed against him. Such a scenario made him to take the drastic step, However, after analysing the situation with a cool mind he has decided to strengthen the Congress, especially his mentor and leader Sonia Gandhi. Yadav said his son Chiranjeev prevailed upon him to forget the past. "I am Congressman by birth and would remain Congressman till my last breath", Capt. Yadav said. Expressing his indebtedness to his leader and mentor Sonia Gandhi, Yadav said he could never think of hurting her feelings. Recalling his association with the Congress for the last 36 years, Yadav said he had always gave his best to the party and referred to the over 70 year association between his family and the Nehru-Gandhis since 1952. Earlier, while announcing his decision to quit the Congress, Yadav had said that when he joined the party in 1988, there was proper interaction with party leaders which went on under the late Rajiv Gandhi and even during Sonia Gandhi's presidency. But he had alleged that there was a coterie surrounding Rahul Gandhi which kept the latter away fromparty workers including senior leaders...////...
