Chandigarh, Jan 13 (Reporter) The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday took strict action against corruption and arrested Head Constable Rakesh, posted at the Anti-Narcotics Cell, Badli, District Jhajjar red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs two lakhs. A spokesperson said the ACB had received a complaint that, in a case by Head Constable Rakesh, in lieu of removing the name of a liquor seller from village Kanonda of Bahadurgarh tehsil from the FIR registered in Asoda (Bahadurgarh), a bribe of Rs two lakhs was demanded. Based on the complaint, the Bureau team devised a plan to nab the accused and arrested him red-handed in the grain market of Jhajjar district while taking a bribe of Rs two lakhs. Cash worth Rs 7.50 lakh was recovered from the vehicle of the accused. This entire action was taken with complete transparency in front of the witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused at Rohtak ACB police station, and he has been arrested. In this case, action is being taken by gathering the necessary evidence...////...
