Hyderabad, Mar 13 (Reporter) Former Minister T Harish Rao clarified that Jagadish Reddy did not insult him.
Addressing media in the Assembly lobby regarding the controversy surrounding Jagadish Reddy on Thursday, Harish Rao emphasised that the Assembly belongs to everyone, not just to specific individuals, Harish Rao insisted that Jagadish Reddy's remarks were not against House rules.
He asserted that the phrases like "you" and "yours alone" are not considered unparliamentary language. Harish Rao expressed confusion over the Congress MLAs' protest and the subsequent adjournment of the House, suggesting that Congress members were acting defensively.
Harish Rao also mentioned that he had met the Speaker and requested an official record of the statements made. He maintained that Jagadish Reddy had not spoken in a disrespectful manner.
According to Harish Rao, the Speaker requested a video record of the BRS member's remarks in the House but failed to produce the footage even after 15 minutes.
He criticised the blocking of BRS MLAs from addressing the media at the Assembly's media point, expressing frustration over the restriction imposed on their statements...////...
