Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the renowned Gurdwara at Arera Colony on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti, where he offered prayer and listened to Shabad Kirtan. He extended Guruparb greetings to all citizens and prayed to Waheguru Ji for the well-being, prosperity and welfare of the state’s Citizens. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Guru Nanak Dev Ji was symbol of social unity, harmony and selfless service. The message he gave of serving humanity and fostering equality remains a beacon for the society, even today. Guru Nanak's life embodied the principles of truth, compassion and altruism. His teachings transcend time and will always inspire service to humanity. The Chief Minister announced that the Madhya Pradesh Government will celebrate the 350th birth anniversary and martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with great fervour, in accordance with the community’s sentiments. The state government will leave no stone unturned in honoring Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who was protector of truth.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered congratulations to all on the 556th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He described Guru Nanak Dev Ji as a divine soul who preached the ideals of humanity, service, and kirtan and laid the foundation of the Sikh faith. Guru Nanak Dev Ji not only travelled on foot across India but also spread the message of Sikhism to regions including present-day Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Arabia. Even in Arabia, his presence was felt before Emperor Babur. CM Dr. Yadav highlighted the significance of living consciously, shedding caste discrimination and uniting as one congregation. He emphasised that no outward display is required to remove divisions in society; people should support one another and stand firmly against injustice. He recalled that our brave ancestors sacrificed their lives following Guruji’s path in struggles against the Afghans, Mughals, and the British. He added that the Festival of Lights (Prakash Parv), observed on the full moon of the Kartik month, holds a unique and profound significance. Guru Nanak Dev Ji's message of service and patriotism will inspire all.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s immortal words teach that true religion is that which works for the welfare of all. The government, inspired by the noble ideals of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, is committed to the welfare and upliftment of all sections of society. Guru Nanak said, “From one divine light, the entire world was created. Who is good, who is bad? All faces are fashioned by the same; all share the same undying radiance.” That is, God is one, and His light is in every being. When we see that light in all, discrimination ends and true love arises. CM Dr. Yadav participated in a special Diwan Sabha at the Gurdwara, joining Sikh devotees in Shabad Kirtan and receiving blessings of Sri Satnam Waheguru Ji.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said Guru Nanak Dev Ji showed mankind a path that is not mere advice but an entire philosophy of life. He believed that chanting God’s name bestows spiritual and mental strength and vitality. Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught the values of honesty, hard work and sharing with others. He established the tradition of Langar, symbolising social harmony and brotherhood, where all sit together as equals without any hierarchy. The life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are a source of inspiration not only for the Sikh community but for every Indian, embodying the ideals of equality, goodwill, morality and brotherhood. His teachings remain a guiding light for humanity, and the “Guru Granth Sahib” is an eternal repository of his wisdom.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav concluded by expressing his wish that, with the grace of Waheguru Ji, everyone may walk the path of truth, guided by goodwill, compassion, and love. He stated that his government, inspired by the divine wisdom of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, is dedicated to serve the people, ensuring that every citizen receives due respect, essential facilities and equal opportunities. The State Government is making sustained efforts to extend education, healthcare, nutrition, and employment to every household, ensuring the last person benefits from welfare schemes. By following the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the government is steadfastly advancing the State on the principles of service, equality, and sensitivity.
