Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that a grand Drone Light Show themed ‘From Heritage to Development’ will be organised in Bhopal on November 1, to mark the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day. He emphasised initiating steps to establish a research centre in the state on the lines of ISRO, consulting scholars and experts to explore new possibilities in the field of space science.
The Chief Minister proposed the establishment of the Madhya Pradesh Biotechnology Park in Neemuch, with a corresponding incubation center at Science City, Ujjain. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that data collected through various sources and processes is not only used for research but also for the implementation of government schemes and management of administrative activities.
These directives were issued by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology held at the Mantralaya. The meeting included in-depth discussions on strategies to accelerate innovation, research, and technological development in the state. Additional Chief Secretary (Chief Minister’s Office) Dr. Rajesh Rajora and Council Director General Dr. Anil Kothari were present.
The key discussion during meeting were A digital atlas focused on Madhya Pradesh’s natural resources is under development, A Craftsmen Science Convention will be organized, enabling local artisans to interact with renowned national experts to enhance their skills using advanced technologies, Science centers are being developed in Ujjain and Jabalpur at a cost of ₹15.2 crore, Plans are underway to establish an International Space Research Center in Dongla, Ujjain, to revive the region's legacy as a hub for astronomical timekeeping, and A Scientist Memorial is also proposed, A new initiative. The ‘Science on Wheels’ will be launched to demonstrate science practically across rural areas of the state.
