Lucknow, Sep 16 (Reporter) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that hundreds of villages in dozens of districts of the state are affected by floods and heavy rains.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "Life is devastated, farmers crops, houses have been destroyed due to floods. Many people have lost their lives but the government remains completely careless. The public is in distress. The government and officials are busy with their own work."
He alleged that the government is not concerned with the problems of the public. "Rivers are in spate in Sitapur, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Gonda, Barabanki districts of the state. Hundreds of villages are in the grip of floods. Water has entered the villages and houses. The government remains completely ineffective. On one hand, the common people are in trouble due to flood water and on the other hand, they are in terror due to wild animals," he said.
The SP chief said that wolves and other wild animals are killing the common people and villagers In the Terai areas. "In Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Pilibhit, wild animals have attacked and killed dozens of villagers and children. SP has been raising this issue for more than a year but the government has not taken any action. Life has become difficult for the people," he said.
He said that the army of ministers of the government and the administration machinery are misusing the power instead of solving the problems of the people. "The affected people are not getting any help. Recently, many people died due to heavy rains in various districts of the state, but the government did not even reach out to the victims and did not help them.
