Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Sandipani Vidyalayas are emerging as model centres of education in Madhya Pradesh. These schools will give a new direction to the state’s education system. He recalled that Lord Gopal Krishna received his education at the Sandipani Gurukul in Ujjain. Sage Sandipani is an ideal symbol of the guru tradition—he selflessly imparted education to many disciples, including Lord Shri Krishna, without concern for his son.

Sandipani’s son had been captured by the invaders of the Yama clan. Later, Shri Krishna freed his guru’s son and returned him to Sage Sandipani.

Dr. Yadav stated that, for the first time, government schools (Sandipani Vidyalayas) in the state will organise sports and cultural activities on par with private institutions. He emphasised that government schools will surpass private ones in quality and achievement. This year, 70% of the students featured in the board exam merit list came from government schools. The state government has been providing all necessary facilities for quality education to all students.

The Chief Minister was addressing the bhoomi pujan (foundation stone-laying ceremony) of the Sandipani Vidyalaya at Bargi Hills in Jabalpur on Tuesday. The school will be constructed over 11 acres at a cost of ₹27.84 crore and will accommodate 1,960 students in a fully equipped campus.

The ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Shri Ashish Dubey, MLAs Shri Abhilash Pandey, Shri Ashok Rohani, Shri Santosh Barkade, and Shri Ratnesh Sonkar, along with a large number of dignitaries.
