Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the Amritasya Maa Narmada Pad Parikrama program organized at Brahmapuri Ghat in Omkareshwar on Sunday. He offered prayers to Maa Narmada at Brahmapuri Ghat and emphasized the cultural and spiritual significance of the event. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that a grand Jyotirlinga temple will be constructed in Omkareshwar, enhancing the religious and historical importance of the site. Additionally, he declared that after March, liquor shops would be closed at identified pilgrimage sites, reinforcing the sanctity of these locations. While highlighting the significance of water, the Chief Minister stated that water is essential for life. He remarked that the sight of water bodies like rivers and ponds brings joy to the mind. Comparing water bodies to the human circulatory system, he emphasized that just as blood flows through arteries in the human body, rivers flow on the earth, making it imperative to keep them clean and pure.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring the entire Parikrama Path of Maa Narmada to its original, sacred form. He emphasized that enhanced facilities would be provided for Narmada Parikrama pilgrims, including the construction of ghats at various Narmada banks across the state for religious events and the installation of signboards for the convenience of pilgrims. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh, known as the motherland of rivers, holds Maa Narmada in a special place among all its rivers. He reiterated the government’s dedication to promoting religious tourism and ensuring that development efforts align with cleanliness initiatives to elevate the state’s progress.
