Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that ‘Geeta Bhavans’ will be established in all urban local bodies across Madhya Pradesh. He said that all festivals will be celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion. The Geeta Jayanti too will be observed soon with reverence. The Chief Minister mentioned that the state government organised Shastra Pujan ceremonies on Vijaya Dashami with great zeal, while Govardhan Puja was celebrated during Diwali as a festival of cow protection. He said, “The state government is consistently working at all levels to promote cow rearing and safeguard cows. Besides supporting cow shelters, we have doubled the funds allocated for providing fodder to Cows.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a gathering at Ganesh Parisar, Nanda Nagar, Indore, on Monday during a spiritual discourse by Malook Peethadhish Swami Rajendra Das Devacharya Maharaj.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a vibrant cultural resurgence is taking place in India, creating an atmosphere of faith and enthusiasm throughout the nation. Saints and sages are receiving due respect, and the number of devotees visiting religious sites has significantly increased. He shared that when presidents or prime ministers from other countries visit India, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi takes them to our temples and presents them with sacred texts such as the Geeta and the Ramayana.
Highlighting the cultural transformation in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that after the creation of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the city’s spiritual identity has been completely rejuvenated, drawing record numbers of devotees. The saga of Emperor Vikramaditya’s glory is being presented through a magnificent theatrical production titled Mahanatya Vikramaditya, which has been performed not only in Delhi but also at other venues. The Indian calendar now follows the Vikram Samvat, replacing the earlier Shaka Samvat, symbolising our civilizational heritage.
