Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Simhastha 2028 will be made a historic event. Fully-equipped ghats are being constructed along a 30-kilometre stretch of the Kshipra river in Ujjain to facilitate pilgrims. These ghats will prove immensely useful, with the capacity to enable bathing for nearly 5 crore devotees within 24 hours.

CM Dr. Yadav was addressing the foundation day program of the Public Vani Media Group on Tuesday evening at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre. He emphasised that developing places of religious and spiritual importance is essential, adding that Ujjain has today become a major hub for spiritual tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said in an interview with Shri Mrigendra Singh, head of Public Vani Media Group, that earlier, development works in Ujjain had to wait for each 12-year Simhastha cycle. Now, permanent infrastructure is being developed in the city. CM Dr. Yadav also shared updates on the state’s industrial growth, efforts to eliminate unemployment and the establishment of new medical colleges aimed at enhancing healthcare services. He also spoke about the Dr. Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, which is promoting animal husbandry and milk production.
