Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that ‘Gaushalas’ in Madhya Pradesh will be developed into ‘Gau Mandirs’ through joint efforts between the society and the government. All necessary facilities will be made available in these Gaushalas and full assistance will be provided for their development and self-reliance. He announced that farmers practicing natural farming in the state will be encouraged and will receive an additional incentive amount apart from the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their naturally produced crops. The Chief Minister further stated that the state government has decided to ensure organised management of Gaushalas through urban local bodies. Stray cattle wandering in the open will not be confined in cages but will be safely sheltered and properly cared for in Gaushalas.
CM Dr. Yadav addressed the Govardhan Pooja event at the Resham Kendra Gaushala established by Indore Municipal Corporation in Khajuriya, Hatod tehsil of Indore district. He performed the Govardhan Pooja amidst ‘Vedic Chants’.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that cow’s milk is like nectar, containing the highest nutritional value. Its consumption eliminates diseases and promotes health and happiness. He said, “The cow provides double nourishment and feeding, both her calf and humankind. In every era and every ashram, cows were nurtured and worshipped. Traditionally, the first bread in every household was prepared for the cow.
