Gas pipeline explodes in Oklahoma spewing flames 500 feet high

Oklahoma, Jan 31 (Reporter) A gas pipeline has exploded in the US state of Oklahoma, with flames reaching almost 500 feet in height, the ABC7 broadcaster reported on Wednesday, citing the local fire department. The explosion occurred shortly before 9:45 p.m. local time on Tuesday (03:45 GMT Wednesday) in Beaver County, the broadcaster reported. Crews responding to the scene are being kept at a safe distance from the fire until the flow of gas is stopped. The flames are so high that they can be seen from a satellite, the report said.
