Bengaluru, Aug 12 (Reporter) India’s leading drone company, Garuda Aerospace, has announced its expansion into Sri Lanka, marking a critical step in the company’s ambitious global expansion strategy. The compnay, which recently reported over Rs 100 crores in revenue for FY2024, is set to focus its initial operations in Sri Lanka on the agricultural sector. The company plans to introduce its advanced drone technology to enhance farming practices and explore opportunities in homeland security and industrial applications within the country. The strategic expansion into Sri Lanka leverages the country’s favourable drone regulations and its strategic geographic location. Garuda Aerospace has earmarked approximately $10 million of its $100 million international growth budget for this initiative. Company founder and CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash highlighted the significance of this move: "Our entry into the Sri Lankan market is a pivotal chapter in our growth story.
