Gadkari offers prayers at Vindhyavasini temple

Mirzapur (UP), Mar 1 (Reporter) Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday visited the temple of Vindhyavasini Devi, the presiding deity of Vindhya region, and offered prayers. Before laying the foundation stone of the road and bridge to be built at a cost of Rs 1,750 crore, the Union Minister reached the temple, performed puja and sought the blessings of deity. All the rituals were performed by local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and temple priest Ratnakar Mishra. He also offered prayers at the feet of Laghu Trikon Maa Kali and Maa Saraswati Devi located in the temple premises. He inspected construction work of Vindhyachal corridor. Tight strict security arrangements were made for Gadkari's visit and the entry of common visitors was prohibited during his visit. Earlier, Gadkari was welcomed by the Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel, at the helipad along with local BJP MLAs Ratnakar Mishra, Rama Shankar Patel and the officials, including Commissioner Muthukumar Swamy...////...
