Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that just as one must walk a difficult path to attain the divine, the field of journalism too demands dedication and integrity. He emphasized that the expression of thoughts should be natural, and must carry an inherent spirit of national service.

Dr. Yadav was addressing a workshop in Indore organized by a private media group on the theme “The Role, Challenges, and Prospects of Independent Journalism in New India.” Leader of Opposition Shri Umang Singhar, State Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, senior journalist and author Shri Gulab Kothari, cricketer Shri Amay Khurasia, academician Ms. Dhara Pandey, and several public representatives were present on the occasion.

In his address, the Chief Minister reflected on India’s long history of foreign rule and the resulting damage to its culture, traditions, and education system. He stated that India’s culture is unique in the world and must be preserved by staying rooted in its heritage. In the context of independent journalism in new India, he stressed the need for ethical conduct, pure intentions, and moral discipline in both thought and expression.

Dr. Yadav concluded by underscoring that whether in journalism, social service, or business, national interest should remain at the core, and that independent journalism must work closely connected to the roots while preserving its credibility.
