Fourth batch of 6979 Amarnath pilgrims leaves from Jammu

Jammu, July 5 (Reporter) The fourth batch of 6,979 pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra amid the chants of 'Bam Bam Bhole' left today for the holy cave shrine from Bhagwati Nagar based Yatri Niwas in South Kashmir Himalayas. Official sources said that the pilgrims left from the Jammu base camp in a fleet of 312 vehicles. "The fourth batch of 6,979 Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims this morning left for the holy cave shrine in Kashmir from Jammu base camp amid tight security arrangements," they added. They said that 2,753 pilgrims left for Pahalgam and 4226 for Baltal in a fleet of 312 vehicles comprising Light Motor Vehicles and Heavy Motor Vehicles. With the fresh batch departure, a total of 24,528 pilgrims have left the Jammu base camp for the Valley since Wednesday, when Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the yatra from Jammu...////...
