Chennai, Mar 13 (Reporter) A four member family entered into a suicide pact at the Tirumangalam area in Chennai city late on Wednesday night due to heavy debts. The incident came to light on Thursday morning after the neighbours, suspected something amiss and informed the police. Police personnel rushed to the spot, broke open the doors and found all the four family members hanging from the ceiling. The deceased were identified as Doctor Balamurugan, his advocate-wife and their two sons. Police quoting preliminary reports said the doctor had borrowed loan to the tune of Rs five crore and was struggling to repay it, forcing him and his family to take the extreme step.
