Reckong Peo, July 10 (Reporter) Four people lost their lives while three others sustained serious injuries after a vehicle plunged into a gorge near the Nalti road in Kinnaur district today. The accident occurred when the vehicle reportedly spun out of control on a sharp bend and veered off the road, tumbling down a steep hillside and crashing onto the Bhawa Nagar–Karcham stretch of the Hindustan-Tibet highway. Local authorities rushed to the scene and initiated a rescue operation. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of now, the identities of the victims have not been confirmed. Police are investigating the cause of the mishap.
