Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that being born in the Sanatan culture of Bharat is a great fortune. He expressed his immense gratitude for receiving the blessings of saints and Gaumata on his birthday at the state's largest cow sanctuary. He emphasized that such traditions not only flourish our culture but also inspire us to move forward.
During his visit to Salaria, CM Yadav offered 6,100 pure ghee laddoos to Gaumatas as a sacred offering. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹58.93 crore. Additionally, he distributed bank loans amounting to ₹6.12 crore to 186 self-help groups. The Chief Minister performed 'Kanya Pujan' and presented gifts to young girls. He also visited an exhibition showcasing welfare schemes.
On his birthday, CM Yadav participated in the concluding ceremony of the ‘Vedlakshana Maha-Mahotsav’ and the Gaumata discourse at the Salaria Cow Sanctuary in Susner. He performed a Vedic Yajna and Havan, emphasizing the divine presence of 33 crore deities in Gaumata. He highlighted that those who rear cows are ‘Gopal,’ and homes with cows are ‘Gokul.’ He envisioned transforming villages into ‘Vrindavan’ by promoting cow rearing and ensuring harmonious living.
The Chief Minister announced that the government is actively working to increase cow rearing in households. The grant for cow shelters has been doubled from ₹20 to ₹40 per cow, and individuals maintaining over ten cows will also receive government assistance. Dairy farmers will be given a ₹5 bonus per liter of milk to boost dairy production. Madhya Pradesh currently contributes 9% of India's milk production, and with the support of the National Dairy Development Board, this will be increased to 20%, making the state a leader in dairy farming. Gaushalas with a capacity of 10,000 cattle will be established in all major municipal corporations.
