Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu offers prayers at Tirumala temple

Tirumala, July 28 (Reporter) Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar, director M Gopichand, and MLAs Yashaswini Reddy and Sridhar visited the Tirumala temple today and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara. Naidu was received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials at the temple entrance and later offered Theertha Prasadam after darshan. Later, speaking to the media, Naidu praised the quality and hygiene of the Anna Prasadam served at the Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba centre, calling it an inspiration for other temples. He stressed that offerings made by devotees should be used solely for religious and spiritual purposes, including the improving the facilities for pilgrims. He proposed that every village should have both a school and a temple—reflecting a balanced focus on education by the government and on spiritual infrastructure by religious bodies like the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Naidu also urged VIPs to limit their temple visits to once a year, allowing greater access for ordinary devotees.
